Feeding the Hungry

Troop 3 serves four times a year at the Downtown Presbyterian Church in Nashville helping to feed the homeless or poor. We provide a crew to cover the breakfast shift for the 5th Sunday of some months.

When the boys arrive, they unload the cars and get cooking’! We usually serve grits, fruits, eggs, pastries, and coffee. The food is donated from various grocery stores in Nashville, and picked up by the crew at the church.

Every time, we serve about 200 men and women. The troop has been doing this for several  years and the boys always come out having a good time and feeling great.
