The trip was overall fun and exiting. We did two crawling tours. Caving was a little slow because there were so many people there, but other than that it was adventurous. We slumbered in the cave where there was a luxurious concession stand, bathroom, and Gaga ball court. I wouldn’t even say the fun part was the actual caving, but a giant box of mazes to crawl through.
The ski trip at Paoli was great and well worth the money and the weekend. I personally snowboarded since I had finished my snow sports merit badge and had a great time doing all the slopes and the terrain park especially. We brought a go pro and got some great footage. I hope to do this trip again next year and am already exited.
winter camp 2015
On Sunday we met up at the church but on our way there we had an accident, Tad’s car broke down. And his car was the one with the trailer full of most of the gear. This year we drove much longer to go to camp because we went to Latimer instead of Boxwell, but it was worth the drive. That night we had our first of latimer’s camp meals, and the food was much better than Boxwell’s.
Over the next 3 days we had merit badge classes before and after lunch, and spent our nights and afternoons having free time. I spent my free time playing cards but I also played some basketball, but hanging out in tents, playing magic, and throwing the football were other popular activities. On the last night we had movie night; which was clone wars ( the first star wars movie). That night we also had a campfire ceremony which was mainly the staff preforming skits but our troop did the JC Penny skit. on Thursday morning we ate a breakfast of omelets, sausage, and bagels, and then packed up and headed home.

2015 Highland games
On a chilly Friday night we all departed out to Boxwell for our second annual highland games. After breakfast on Saturday we began our ‘’ scouty games ‘’. Which consisted of an orienteering course, lashing projects, obstacle courses, and Scottish relay races.
After the games we had a delicious dinner of red beans & rice with sausage and cornbread. And after dinner we had our dutch oven dessert contest which the whistlepigz won.
Then we had a wonderful campfire ceremony, directed by George. And finally we had our Scottish highland games.
Our events were the keg toss, the hammer throw, the stone throw, the caber toss, and a game of tug of war. our overall highland game winners by patrol were Franky, Gabe, and Lubos, and the Scottish spirit award went to Cooper. Todd got the win for the adults. The games were lots of fun and are a tradition we should keep.
Rock Island
This trip was a success. For their first troop structured trip the new honey badgers did a great job, and as a whole this was one of the most successful trip. on a warm humid Friday night we arrived at Rock island. When we got there we set up camp and had cracker barrel. On Saturday we split up into our groups and got into our kayaks. My group went to Rock island first , where we did our capsize drills.
There we got really cold, because the water was warm and the air was chilly. Later, the sun came out and we had lunch. After lunch, we got back into the water and had a game of kayak tag. Then we all met up and did our little river trip.
The next day we had a quick breakfast and went off to the waterfall for some swimming and rock hopping.
That was awesome!
Tomato fest 2015
Overall the tomato fest was a success this year, but I saw room for a lot of improvement. In my opinion, next year this fundraiser should be scout run and we should have a smaller menu. But another good thing was the weather– it was not too hot, which doesn’t usually happen.
So this year I worked morning shift, Frankie and I were order fufillers. We worked from 8 to noon and when afternoon shift finished their lunch we were done. afterwards lots of us came back at the end to help clean up, and after that we had a water war with Libor
