Natchez Trace Report

We left the church around 8:00 am and arrived at our campsite at about 11:30. We unpacked, set up camp, then ate lunch. When we were finished, we did a bike check and left for the twenty five mile bike ride. We stopped at a rest stop and filled up our water bottles at about twelve miles. We went half a mile more and turned back. On our way back we stopped at an old mine. We got back to our campsite around 4:00. We cooked dinner at 5:00 then had our campfire activity of songs and stories. At about 9:30 we went to sleep. The next morning we woke up and had breakfast. Then we got ready for our fifteen mile bike ride. We left at 10:00. We rode and stopped at a waterfall. We walked around a little bit and headed back. We got back and ate lunch then packed up. We loaded up the cars and headed back. When we got back we put all our gear back and headed home. All together we rode 40 miles! It was a great trip.

Rock Island Report

We arrived at our campsite Friday evening. We set up our tents, had cracker barrel, and went to sleep. The next morning we had breakfast and got our canoes and kayaks ready. Then we headed out on the water. We went about six miles then started looking for a place to eat lunch. After about five minutes we found a nice place on the bank to eat. There, we spent about an hour helping the new wolverines with their canoeing merit badge. When we were done, we went back to camp and swam a little. That night after dinner the Hurtles told stories around the camp fire. Then we went to bed at  around ten. The next morning, we ate breakfast and packed up. We then drove to a waterfall and swam for awhile. We ate lunch then drove back to the church. The weather was great and everyone had a great time.
